Language Targeting

Language targeting enables marketers to reach customers based on the language of the browser they are using. Language targeting is a part of Choozle's Supported Solutions and can be implemented with the help of our Client Experience team.

Guide:

What Is Language Targeting

Language targeting enables marketers to target consumers based on the language of the web browser they are using, and is well-suited for campaigns that have multi-lingual audiences they are trying to reach, especially with language-specific ad units.

This targeting tactic enables marketers to leverage consumers by languages spoken, which is not often available through third-party data targeting due to privacy concerns.

Once applied to your ad group, impressions will only be bid on if the language browser of the consumer matches the language selected in your targeting.

This can be leveraged with no additional CPM.

How to Leverage Language Targeting

As a Supported Service, language browser targeting can be applied to your campaign for targeting with the assistance of our Client Experience team. Upon reaching out to your Strategist, please provide the name of the advertiser account, campaign, and ad group in which you would like the language browser targeting applied, as well as which language you would like to have applied.

Why Use Language Targeting

Perfect for advertisers looking to build creative assets for audiences which speak a specific language, language browser targeting can be leveraged to run a multi-lingual campaign, refine targeting to reduce budget waste, or create a campaign for a given global region.

Regardless of your reasoning, language browser targeting enables marketers to pair the messaging of the creative to the language that the consumer is browsing the internet.

Language Targeting Best Practices

  • Build creative assets to have messaging in the language being targeted.
  • With inventory selected by the browser settings, this tactic is not ideal for customers looking to leverage in-app placements.
